The "Appointments" functionality in Doctorbase lets your practice stay organized and optimized, all while reducing no-shows and increasing your annual revenue.

So, how do you make the most of it? Here's the recommended workflow:

  • First: After you schedule an appointment with a patient and create their profile, click on the 'Appointments' tab. There, you'll see a 'Create Appointment' button. You can search by name, email, or phone number to find the patient's profile.
  • Second: Once the patient has been selected, choose the date, time, and duration of the appointment before verifying the provider and chair, if applicable (the "reason" box is for internal notes only and is never displayed on a reminder text/email).
  • Third: Verify that you would like an appointment reminder and survey email sent to the patient (you can simply un-check either boxes if you'd prefer to disable that feature).

If you'd like to create multiple appointments for one patient, click 'Create Additional Appointment', then click on the 'Create Appointment' button. Easy as that, the system will automatically send the appropriate correspondence to your patients at the intervals you have created in Office Settings (Please refer to Office Settings FAQ).

If you need to edit an appointment, simply click on an existing appointment to adjust any of the information. You can change date or time, edit the reason, or choose to not send a survey to a patient. The updates you make will save automatically
